The newest room on The Corso, and the sequel to a wizarding room you can play across the harbour.

In short: Magic School is a wizarding escape room at Escape This Manly, open since December 2025, for 2–6 players aged 9+ (recommended), from $49. Its home on the web is theschoolofmagic.com.au.

Magic School is the youngest room at the venue. ER-OS opened it on 19 December 2025, a fortnight after Hitman’s last Manly session, and it has logged 678 games since.

It continues the story of The Wizard’s Chamber, which does not play in Manly but runs at Escape This Sydney CBD on George Street. Playing both is a good excuse for a harbour crossing.

We had a very fun first experience at Escape This completing the Magic School room. As we went along, we got more confident solving the experience. It's also a good way to get kids off a screen. Our host Allegra was most warm and helpful to explain what to do. The other staff were also friendly. Keen to do similar experiences down the track again.

Can you still play Hitman at Escape This Manly?

No. Hitman’s Manly room was retired in January 2026, after 204 recorded games. The assassins’ lift is still running at Escape This Perth CBD, under Hay Street Mall, which is the only place ER-OS lists it as playing.

Where did The Wizard’s Chamber end up instead of Manly?

In the city. The Room Eight site promised The Wizard’s Chamber to Manly, but ER-OS has never run it there. In Sydney it plays at Escape This Sydney CBD on George Street, open since October 2024. What Manly got is Magic School, its sequel.

Which Escape This Manly room should a first-time team try?

Magic School has the lowest difficulty rating of the three (6 out of 10, against 7 for Entombed and The Dunny) and 98% of its teams escape. Escape This also calls Entombed a popular choice for beginners, so either is a safe opener at Escape This Manly.

Are any of the Escape This Manly rooms frightening?

Not in the way the horror rooms are. Escape This Manly runs adventures only: Magic School has mild spooky moments, The Dunny’s page warns of possible jump scares, and Entombed leans on mystery. The 18+ horror rooms are at Escape This Sydney CBD on George Street, not in Manly.
